20min 2.1miles

Treadmill with iPod. Shorts didn't have good wasteband so I had the iPod clipped to the treadmill and I unplugged the headphones like 5 times - which was extremly frustrating. Gonna find an armband thing right now.

Ugh - armband from apply is like $30, and the ones on eBay are all from hong kong or the UK. A stupid piece of velcro... maybe I'll just make one.

40min 4.28 miles

Did the lake loop while it snowed. Listened to beethoven's 9th 4th movement, and then let the iPod shuffle choose - and it picked some dead and "Indiana Jones Theme" which was all good. Saw a couple deer along the way.

First time around the lake. Felt awsome - listening to Allman Brothers on the iPod.

Barber's Adiago

treadmill with iPod playing 3 versions of Barber's Adiago - great runnig song, about 5 min long. I listened to 3 versions: Canadian Horn Version, String Version, and Choral Version. I was pretty much eyes closed for the horn version and went to pump up the speed on the treadmill at the start of the string version and hit "STOP" by accident, so I have no idea how far/long I ran this time - but I do know I did a 9:30 mile during the choral version. A very good run.

Olympic Treadmill

First run in a week, and I decided to do some speed work. Last few nights watching the olympics I was all "This would be good to run to" so tonight I pointed the treadmill at the boob tube, but it was "Pairs Figure Skating Long Program" which I can attest isn't the best thing to run to. I think curling might even be better.... pretend you're the stone or something - but downhill skiing had me so motivated the last few nights, and I didn't want to miss anything.

I did a mile at 9.5min, and thought I'd done all I needed to do. Stopped the mill, was sitting on the steps taking the shoes off and realized what a loser run that was, so I got back on and tried to do a 9min mile. 4 min in I was making excuses to stop, and at 5min I had so many I stopped... maybe curling would have been the better thing to watch. Commercials make me want to stop running.

Run to Ski

I didn't run the last few days becuase I was on a ski vacation in Utah. Rest assured I burned more calories there than I would have here. One of the tracks in this picture is mine... and I had to hike about 20min to get it, and hike out another 20 min to get back up to make a couple more... I would have run a 5k to get these turns. It was the best skiing of my life to date, the margin from left turn to right turn was blurred and gravity was kinda suspended as you float on the snow. I was very happy to be a runner, and being a runner made my ski vacation easily 5 times better. Posted by Picasa
